Rev. Isravel Jayaraj has been serving as the Pastor of Indians For Christ, Washington Metropolitan Tamil Congregation since March, 2014. Born and raised in Chennai, India, Rev. Isravel has a passion to serve Lord Almighty and after accepting Jesus Christ as his personal savior at a very young age, he committed himself for this very purpose of serving God and work toward the extension of His Kingdom. It is noteworthy to mention that his parents Mrs. Sagunthala Jayaraj and Late Mr. Jacob N. Jayaraj (Lay Preacher) were instrumental in instilling christian values and thirst for mission work. Rev. Isravel embraces biblical values and his simple and theologically meaningful sermons & devotions are very practical in today’s life.

Rev. Isravel received his Masters degree in Psychology from University of Madras in Chennai, India and also has completed his Masters degree in Theology from Union Biblical Seminary in Pune, India. He has served as a Senior Pastor at churches in organizations like Evangelical Church of India, Church of South India and at a Parish in Kalyan, Mumbai (India). In addition Rev. Isravel enthusiastically involves himself for the cause of Church Planting, Missionary Work and Prayer & Outreach Ministry.

Rev. Isravel currently resides in Gaithersburg, Maryland with his wife, Mrs. Stella and their two daughters Bency and Blessy.

The church is blessed to have a visionary and a shepherd who encourages the hopeless with messages that are inspirational, relevant and Biblical. Rev. Isravel is committed to winning souls for Christ so that families can be drawn closer to God as another generation begins to rise up.
